They don't seem to come out and say that directly, I'm not sure. Think its happened over a long period the draining of the peat land, intensive farming has'nt helped but there seems to be a move to restoring the wetlands at Cayton and Flixton Carrs its on the web with a very large link. Star Carr seems to be on the edge of old Flixton Lake.
