I have just had a look through Jeremy Butler's '
"Dartmoor Atlas Of Antiquities" volume 2 The North which covers Fernworthy and there are no arcs shown or mentioned anywhere. His maps and drawings were taken from aerial photographs he took over many years. If you have seen something resembling an arc in the area it may just be the remains of the wall of a roundhouse. There are quite a few scattered around the area , including below the water of the reservoir. These are visible in times of drought.
