Even PAS is now saying the precise opposite, that it's a large majority, so I'm sure you can appreciate why it's important landowners are put on their guard to carry out some basic checks, not given false information. No need to reply, just correct it please.



Having once again read all through the thread I can see no reason for you to carry on with it. What started as a harmless thread about a comedy programme has been turned into something completely different by you saying , and I quote." Showing a standing stone as a good place to detect because Medieval Monks buried treasure by them is crass". Don't you think that Detectorists would already think that an ancient monument , of any kind , would be a good place to start without seeing it on a TV programme? I do.
