| When I first visited the lovely Hellstone dolmen, in the autumn of 2001, I was surprised to see a duck pond adjacent to it, which appeared to have been recently dug. I emailed the Archaeology Dept. of Dorset County Council to express my concerns about it, but never received a reply. I notice that IronMan and pure joy have recently added fieldnotes which also show some concern about this duck pond. I don`t think that it should be there. It probably encroaches within the scheduled area. In my view, this duck pond has probably damaged the archaeology and something should be done about it.
