Do you think this was part of something greater or are the additional stones at the base of the standing stone just field clearance? Posted by costaexpress

It's difficult to say. Due to stone clearance there are very few stones of any size left on the surface. It is not unknown for stone circles to be reduced to solitary standing stones in arable land. Posted by markj99
