| yes, I think there's something about the springs in Phil Quinn's 'Holy Wells of the bath and bristol region' book. 'Thrub'well sounds like it should be some kind of noisy drumming well (like St Alphege's seems to be, near us, Moss) but perhaps it's not - it's a good word though.
